ACFLS had a very successful presence in San Diego at the State Bar Annual Meeting. We sponsored a standing-room-only presentation by myself and Steve Wagner on Equitable Apportionment in a Chaotic Market that addressed current issues of business valuation and apportionment in today’s economic downturn. Our Hospitality Suite was a big hit again this year, providing an opportunity for specialists, wannabes and their guests to network, nosh and generally enjoy a breathtaking view from the 21st floor of the Marriott Hotel. The ACFLS Board is meeting as I write this discussing issues taking the organization into the next five years, exchanging ideas for membership development, mentoring younger family law attorneys and new continuing education seminars that will continue the history of excellence we have come to expect. If you were at the Annual Meeting, I hope you attended at least one of our events. If not, think about 2010 in Monterey.
